Japan is a holiday destination that guarantees a unique experience to each traveler, whether it be sampling Japanese delicacies or strolling through an old castle town. Within every large city there are many temples and shrines, creating a mixture of the past, present and future.

Tokyo, simultaneously modern and comfortable, yet traditional and chaotic, is endlessly fascinating in its variety.

Osaka is known as a city with a well-developed network of underground shopping areas.  The city is bursting with places to see and things to do.

Scene of many epic battles in the feudal era and the core of Japan's manufacturing and technological strength, Nagoya and its vicinity offer natural splendor, traditional delights and modern wonders.

Kyoto was Japan's capital for over 1,000 years, and ruling that time became the repository of much of the best Japanese art, culture, religion and thought.

Fukuoka is known for its Hakata-ori textiles, and gala festival of Hakata Dontaku, as well as refined Hakata clay dolls.

In summer Sapporo Odori Park is full of beer gardens, while in winter it becomes the location for a snow festival. During the festival, this big park is lined with magnificent snow statues.

IZUMO 6N7D

Before there was a Kyoto, there was Izumo – home of the gods

Izumo’s quiet rural nature belies a history that stretches back to Japan’s very beginnings. Long before there was a Kyoto or Nara, this region was the center of what was known as Shinkoku, the Country of the Gods. Japan’s oldest records mention this area, and the shrines and historical treasures unearthed here are clear evidence that the roots of the Japan story are in Izumo.

We suggest a circle trip from Osaka which features Izumo and its vicinity. Departing from Osaka the tour visits Amanohashidate and Kyotango. From Matsue, the capital city of Shimane Prefecture, the tour continues to Kurashiki, Sanuki, Naruto and Kobe.
